Blake was having so much fun playing on his discovery mat and rolling back and forth from his back to his belly, mommy had to join him to see what all the fun was about! He stopped what he was doing for a few minutes to pose for some great pics with her! Enjoy!

Tailgate con Blake
Blake enjoyed his first UCLA tailgate at the Rose Bowl. Recently engaged Jack and Tania set up an amazing spread and we played Rings. Gary, Floyd, Josh, Mike, and Ashley joined us and Blake was on his best behavior. As soon as the game started, everyone headed in, but we headed home to watch the Bruins win from our warm and comfortable home. Maybe next year Blake will be able to go inside and see it in person.

Roll in ze Hay!
Guess what I learned? GP taught me how to roll over from my stomach to my back! This is a great beginning to being able to stand! I just love to stand now, and do it every chance I get (with help of course). I love spending time with Nana and GP. They even took care of me on my Mommy's birthday! From what I gather, Mommy and Daddy went out and ate uncooked fish. Sounds interesting, but I'm stickin with the Leche de jour, which literally means Leche of the house. And today we are heading to the UCLA/CO football game tailgate. Gota go find my Bruins attire. 2000 n Late.

Hold Me!
Hi all. Blake here. I've got it all figured out. As long as I keep flexing my cheek muscles (top, not bottom), all of my new friends and family give me food, change my shorts, and surround me with love. This month, Mommy and Daddy left me for the first time with Auntie Alyssa. I think they went out on a date or something, so I just conked out instead of protesting. I have also had many visitors that come over and play with me, as you can see from the pics below. I even got to meet Grandma Willems' sisters Dee and Sherry, and their cousin Jerry. What a special surprise. Well, enjoy some more pics. When are you going to hold me next?

"A Happy Halloween you shall have."
Our little Yoda.
We brought Blake to a festival at a local church. Of course he was too young to participate in anything but it was fun to see him checking out all the kids and fun going on around him. GP & Nana were able to come with us too...what a lucky little boy!
Blake was very lucky to get some adorable outfits that he wore during the day on Halloween...check him out!

Big Bear B-lake
Our first family vacation together! We headed up on Thursday and stayed through Sunday. The timeshare we stayed at was perfectly located. We were about 5 blocks from The Village which contains the main strip of shops & restaurants in Big Bear. On thursday night after we checked into our place, we ended up finding an amazing restaurant to have dinner at called Peppercorn. We basically drove all around to see what options there were and then decided on this spot thinking it should be "ok". Well it was FABULOUS! Matt had the Halibut (what for?) and V had the filet mignon! Yummy! Oh ya & the best part was that Blake gave mommy & daddy time to enjoy their wonderful dinner by taking a nap for the WHOLE DINNER! He is just ridiculous...best baby ever! We also ran into a friend sitting at the next booth! Small world.
This is blake all bundled up on our way out to dinner.
The next day we woke up and went to The Grizzly Manor, a very small diner recommended by our timeshare, for "brek"(breakfast). It's basically a local favorite just one block from our timeshare. Check out the pancake size at this place!
Then we decided to walk around the park at Boulder Bay...what a great photo op! Once we saw this location, we decided we had to see all all of Big Bear Lake and drove around it. Such a beautiful drive...especially when our child was being so good!
Here we are just enjoying our vacation and our cutie-potootie!
Then it was off to B's Backyard BBQ for the lakeside view of the sunset before heading back to the timeshare to make dinner and enjoy the fireplace.
The next day we decided to learn more about Big Bear B-Lake by taking a guided lake tour aboard the Miss Liberty. Captain Jack gave us so many fun facts about this place that we were unaware of...did you know there are two dams? One is still underwater and construction was never completed on it. The current dam was built instead and they never took down the previous attempt. Pretty cool to learn. Anyways, here we are enjoying the sights from the marina & the boat.
Just playing with our little boy...what a ham!
All in all we had a great first family vacation. Blake was such a good boy...we couldn't have asked for a nicer, more relaxing, weekend together.
